Clinical and Research Faculty
Todd Leech, PA-C , EdD is a board certified physician assistant practicing in collaboration with a supervising psychiatrist. He received his physician assistant degree from St. Francis University and his doctorate in adult learning theory from the University of South Dakota. He provides psychiatric assessment and medication management for clients of the Program in Human Sexuality.
Postdoctoral clinical/research fellows
Leonardo Candelario Pérez, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow. His clinical training has included experience in assessment and treatment of individuals with comorbid mental health and poly-substance use, community mental health, child and family therapy, HIV treatment and LGBT health.
Janna Dickenson, Ph.D. is the first Doug Braun-Harvey Postdoctoral Fellow at the Program in Human Sexuality, with research and clinical work focused on compulsive sexual behavior. Her clinical training has included experience in couple therapy, sexual trauma/abuse recovery, sexual functioning concerns, LGBT health, gender and sexual identity development, and managing compulsive and impulsive behaviors.
Abby Girard, PsyD, is the current Michael E. Metz postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Girard’s areas of interest include sexual health and functioning, sexual desire discrepancy, compulsive sexual behavior, gender and sexual identity development, couples/relationship intimacy concerns, sexual trauma/abuse recovery, and social justice advocacy.
Dr. Kovic is a postdoctoral fellow who provides individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy at the Program in Human Sexuality, where he specializes in gender diversity and sexual orientation issues, relationship and sexual problems, and sexual compulsivity.
